Before I’m going to start with individual presentations from this year’s edition of Device_art 3.009, held last month in Zagreb, I owe you few wordz on the concept and origins from the organizers of the festival, Kontejner – bureau of contemporary art praxis.

At the end of this summer I was invited by the organizers of TEDx Zagreb event to join their team as web editor and social media strategist… I’ve jumped into the project and at the beginning of last week the web site was launched… The site was designed by Andrea Knapic from Zagreb.
Marija Scekic is a contemporary dancer from Croatia who can be characterized as ‘performer with guts’. Her strong and authentic concentration on the stage is a result of heavy bodily education and physical predisposition.
‘Shelter for the Feeling’ is a space installation consisted of sound, lace, fibre-glass bars, foam and canvas. It’s based on personal story of Japanese contemporary artist Akiko Sato exploring her life voyage and the history of Croatian tradition of lace-making.
With the assistance of ten lace-makers from the ‘Lace Makers Association Danica Brosiler’ from Lepoglava she created a portable lace tent that symbolizes home.
